Mission Statement
As stated in its Articles of Incorporation of the Corporation,
the Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and/or
educational purposes to carry out the charitable and educational
activities of the Illinois Fire Services Association for the improvement
of the fire service within and without the State of Illinois, including,
but not limited to:
- The provision of educational programs and opportunities for members of
the fire service and the general public regarding fire prevention and safety,
arson prevention, and public safety and
- The provision of scholarships for the study of fire science, and to those
ends:
- Receive and maintain a fund or funds of personal or real property, or
both, and subject to the limitations and restrictions herein set
forth.
- Use and apply the whole or any part of the income therefrom and the
principal thereof exclusively for charitable, scientific, or educational
purposes either directly or by contributions to organizations which qualify
as exampt organizations under Section 501(c)
of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or the corresponding section of any future United States internal revenue law.
